1. Appointments

   How to book appointments?

   You can book appointments by call or Whatsapp to 8861461104. You may also book an appointment though our website. Click the link to book an appointment.

   What are the timings of the clinic?

   The clinic is open from 10:30 am to 8 pm from Mondays to Saturdays. Please contact the clinic in case of an emergency.

   Are there specialists available?

   Yes, well-experienced specialists are available at the clinic on an appointment basis.

   What is the waiting time for each appointment?

   A maximum waiting time of 15 minutes can be expected. If there is further delay, we will notify you as early as possible.

   Is it important to schedule a follow-up appointment?

   It is extremely important to schedule and attend the follow-up appointment even if you do not have pain or discomfort. At Crown'd, we always focus on long-term oral health.

2. X-rays

   Do I need x-rays?

   If a diagnosis was not possible with only examination and the doctor deems an x-ray to be necessary for a diagnosis, then you will require one. Dental x-rays help in detecting cavities, bone loss, and other dental problems not detected in just examinations.

   Is dental x-ray safe?

   Dental x-rays use a very small amount of radiation, typically lower than background radiation or on a flight. Digital x-rays, available in our clinic, use even lower radiation doses than traditional x-rays.

3. Routine check-up

   Do I need to get my mouth checked even if I don't have problems?

   Yes, a dental check-up every 6 months is advised even if you do not seem to have any problems as sometimes dental diseases may not cause symptoms.

   How much time will a general check-up take?

   A general check-up may take around 15 minutes to half an hour.

   Do I have to brush my teeth before a check-up?

   Yes, it is always advised to brush teeth and floss before visiting the dentist.

   How much does a check-up cost?

   A check-up at Crown'd Dental Clinic will cost Rs 400, excluding x-rays and teeth cleaning.

4. Teeth cleaning

   Why do I need a cleaning?

   Professional teeth cleaning helps remove plaque, tartar, and stains that brushing and flossing alone can't eliminate. It keeps your gums healthy, prevents cavities, and helps maintain fresh breath. Regular cleanings are essential to avoid gum disease and other long-term dental problems.

   How long will the appointment last?

   A routine cleaning usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the amount of buildup and your overall oral health. If it's your first cleaning in a while or if there are specific concerns, it may take slightly longer.

   Will it remove the tooth layer?

   No, cleaning does not remove any natural tooth structure. Only soft and hard deposits like plaque and tartar are removed. The enamel (the outer layer of your teeth) remains completely intact.

   Will it whiten the teeth?

   Teeth cleaning is not the same as whitening, but it often makes your teeth appear brighter by removing surface stains and tartar. For a more noticeable shade change, professional whitening treatments are recommended.

   Will I get gaps or sensitivity?

   No, cleanings do not create gaps. If you notice spaces after cleaning, it's usually because tartar was filling those areas. As for sensitivity, a mild sensation may occur temporarily if there’s existing gum recession or heavy tartar removal, but it usually settles within a few days.

5. Root Canal Treatment

   I do not have pain but my doctor suggested a root canal. Why?
   Sometimes, infections are silent. Your tooth may be infected or dead even without pain. An X-ray helps detect this.

   Will it pain? Will I have pain afterwards?
   The procedure is done under local anesthesia and is painless. Mild soreness afterwards is normal and temporary.

   Do I need to take antibiotics and painkillers?
   Not always. They’re prescribed only if there’s swelling, infection, or pain.

   What should I eat?
   Soft foods are best for the first 24–48 hours. Avoid hard, chewy foods until the crown is placed.

   Why is my root canal treatment taking so much time?
   Complex canals, infection, or multiple teeth may require multiple visits for thorough cleaning and healing.

   What is the cost of a root canal treatment?
   Cost varies based on the tooth and materials used. It typically ranges from ₹4,500 to ₹10,000.

   Do I need to get a cap or crown?
   Yes, especially for back teeth. A crown protects the tooth and prevents it from breaking.

   I developed a swelling/pain/discomfort after the treatment.
   This can happen if there's remaining infection. Please visit us for a review—we’ll resolve it promptly.

6. Bridge

   Will my tooth become sensitive after trimming it?
   Some sensitivity is normal but temporary. It settles in a few days.

   Why do I need root canal before bridge?
   If the supporting tooth is weak or has decay near the nerve, a root canal prevents future pain.

   Will I be given a temporary cap?
   Yes, a temporary cap protects your teeth until the permanent bridge is fixed.

   Which material is best?
   Zirconia is strong, natural-looking, and long-lasting. Metal-ceramic is more budget-friendly.

7. Dentures

   How many appointments will it take?
   Complete dentures usually take 4–5 appointments. Partials may take fewer.

   My new denture is too sharp.
   We’ll adjust it. Small tweaks are common after you start wearing them.

   I cannot speak or eat with my new dentures.
   That’s normal initially. Your mouth needs time to adjust. Practice helps!

8. Implants

   How much will implants cost? How much time will it take?
   Implants typically cost ₹25,000 to ₹60,000 per tooth. The process can take 3–6 months, including healing.

   Do I need a blood test before placing implants?
   Yes. We check your general health, sugar levels, and healing ability.

   I have high blood sugar/high BP. Can I get implants?
   Yes, if your condition is well-controlled. We'll work with your physician to ensure safety.

9. Tooth Removal

   Why should I get my wisdom tooth removed?
   If it’s causing pain, decay, gum issues, or is impacted, removal prevents bigger problems.

   What can I eat?
   Soft, cool foods like curd rice, smoothies, and soups. Avoid hot, spicy, and hard foods for a few days.

   How should I clean the extraction area?
   Gently rinse with salt water after 24 hours. Avoid brushing directly on the site for a day or two.

10. Smile Designing

    Why do I need gum recontouring?
    To correct uneven gum lines or a “gummy smile” for a balanced, beautiful appearance.

    How much teeth will be shaved off?
    Only a minimal amount—just enough to fit the veneers or crowns properly.

    Will I get sensitive teeth?
    Slight sensitivity is possible during the procedure, but temporary and manageable.

    I grind my teeth at night but I want veneers.
    You can still get veneers, but we’ll give you a night guard to protect them.

    What is the cost of veneers?
    It ranges from ₹4,125 to ₹15,000 per tooth, depending on the material used.

    Can I get a smile preview before I confirm the treatment?
    Yes! We offer digital smile design and mock-ups so you can see your new smile in advance.

11. Safety

    What are the safety measures for cross-infections?
    We follow strict sterilization protocols: single-use items, autoclaved tools, PPE, and regular disinfection.

    Can I take medicines for tooth pain for temporary relief?
    Yes, but it’s best to consult us. Painkillers are a short-term fix—not a cure.

12. Payments

    I need dental treatment but I cannot afford it.
    We offer phased treatment plans. We also have EMI options. Let us know your budget—we’ll work something out.

    Are there any hidden costs?
    No. All costs are discussed before starting. Transparency is our policy.

    What are the payment options?
    We accept UPI, cards, cash, and bank transfers. EMI options may be available for major treatments.
